Series of intimate letters from Channing to Mrs. Thomas H. Cummings written between January 1, 1880 and November 5, 1882. The letters reveal Channing's growing fascination with the younger woman, as well as his efforts to interest her in art. Also includes three holograph poems, "Thy parting smile [To F.M.C.]" (24 lines, signed), "To Fanny, Dante, - by Auguste Barbiet" (15 lines) and "To Fanny" (6 lines).
